Zhang Yuan argues with netizens over matters on Taiwan

Comment: "Zhang Yuan-ssi, whether Taiwan is China or Taiwan is up to the Taiwanese people to decide. It's not something Chinese people should be involved in. And if you want to make a living in Korea, you need to get rid of your sinocentrism or try not to show it. 99.9% of Korean people don't have a good opinion on sinocentrism. How can you show your sinocentric thoughts so confidently like that when you're earning money in Korea? Do you not have morals? If you don't like it, then you should go back to China. Why wouldn't you want to go back to your great country?"

Zhang Yuan: "What an amazing person, you should comment after studying history and economics. I don't want to hold back since this isn't the first time. I'll display your comment today and delete it tomorrow."

(He posted more of Korean comments on Weibo and said he got criticized after voicing his opinions and that he wanted to be comforted.)

Pann: Zhang Yuan's whereabouts

1. [+122, -2] Objectively, Hong Kong is China but Taiwan is not China. Hong Kong used to be Britain's colony but it was returned to China. Hong Kong rejects China and wants to be an independent country because they used to be under Britain. Taiwan was established by the Chinese who wanted democracy and escaped the communist China. So they can't really be considered China but it happened not too long ago so it's ambiguous not to call them China, either. That's why all Chinese people say Taiwan is China and Taiwanese people say they're not.

2. [+121, -0] I didn't like him since the beginning. China will be China.

3. [+111, -0] His sinocentrism was amazing on a history show, too.

4. [+48, -0] After living in China for a long time, I've learned that Chinese people's patriotism must be the biggest in the world. In China, I had a meal with a Chinese friend and a Taiwanese friend. I asked the Taiwanese friend when he was going to return to his country, and the Chinese friend got upset and said, "Returning to his country? He's already in his country, what are you talking about?" I still can't forget this incident... I've never seen the Chinese friend being mad and seeing him acting like that made me feel like I committed a big crime. And I went to a party held by foreigners and the Chinese people there said, "There's nothing to eat here. Of course, Chinese food is the best." They proceeded to order Chinese food on the spot... I know there are many well-mannered Chinese people but when it comes to political matters like Taiwan, all of them will become upset and say the same thing.

5. [+33, -0] Jackson and Henry posted the things, too. The power of capitalism... Those who supports China's South China Sea claims shouldn't be promoting in Korea. I know most of them were forced to support it but it's not like we have to understand them. I guess they did it because China is where their earnings come from ㅋㅋㅋ

6. [+28, -0] Zhang Yuan whines about getting hateful comments but on Weibo, he wrote about how Wang Simlin commented things that he didn't like. As a result, Wang Simlin got so many hateful comments from Chinese netizens.
