Article: Is this Sunye's greed or JYP's desire?
On 18th, Sunye announced her plans on Wonder Girls' fan cafe. On last year January, she got married and got pregnant right away. These events are happy for her, but Wonder Girls still cannot promote. No one knows when they will promote again.
Sunye explained why she decided to leave for Haiti with her husband. Of course, she still plans to work as a celebrity at the same time of her plan. She thanked Wonder Girls members, JYP family, and fans for understanding her choice.
Sunye renewed her contract with JYP last year, meaning she still wants to work as a celebrity in JYP. But Sunye is leaving for 5 years. She could still visit Korea sometimes, but promoting in Wonder Girls is impossible.
As a response to Sunye's announcement, JYP reps clarified, "this does not mean that she's leaving the group. Wonder Girls is not disbanding either."
Last year, Sohee left Wonder Girls and JYP. Meanwhile, Sunye renewed her contract and showed she still wanted to work with JYP. But since Sunye got married, Wonder Girls have not promoted. Yubin, Yeeun and Hyerim had minor solo activities and barely kept their "Wonder Girls" title.
Looking at the current situation, they should start thinking how Sunye's choice is affecting Wonder Girls and JYP. It's a mistery why JYP keeps insisting on having Sunye as a Wonder Girls member when it's not even sure if she'll be able to promote.
