Q: Sasaeng is a controversy these days. Are the sasaengs like how the media portrays them?
A: Most of them are true. Some ride "sasaeng taxis", they know the idols' phone numbers, and a lot of them even went inside of the dorm.
Q: Why do you ride sasaeng taxis?
A: For me, I started using taxi because I was curious what oppars did at late night. Most sasaeng want to know what oppars do privately besides their schedule, going to a salon and a gym. It's not like I want to do something at him. I'm satisfied as long as I know who he meets and what he eats. And only rookie sasaengs use taxis. Once you're like this for a while, you get to know the idols' favorite places and many other sasaengs so you just find out where they are without following them.
Q: I heard that there were specific taxi drivers for sasaengs?
A: Of course. We have drivers that we always contact and they even tell us where the oppars are. They're very eager to work with us because their job is to drive "sasaeng taxis". Sometimes, the drivers work together and share info.
Q: You must be using a lot of money for taxis and following them. I wonder where you get all the money from.
A: Middle school and high school students mostly get money from their home. Some use their academic fees and do part-time jobs. They work at like convenience stores and set their shirt time to oppars' activities. They end up dropping out of school and they don't go home.
Q: I heard that there are many sasaengs who go inside the dorm.
A: A lot of them do. Many of them used to have copied keys. When oppars are not at the dorm, they go in and lie down on the bed... We're just curious about how they live so we just check it out.
Q: According to celebrities, some sasaengs touch the members when they're asleep?
A: Those sasaengs broke the rules. Sasaengs have rules. "Never go inside the dorm when oppars are there, no skinship, and etc". Those who went to the dorm and touched/kissed the members broke the rules. I heard that those sasaengs were beaten up by other sasaengs.
Q: Why do you guys still follow them?
A: At first, we just went to the company, the dorm, and the stages to see them in real life. We got to see them for like 5~10 seconds. We saw them for very short and wanted to see them longer. We end up invading their privacy. Some sasaengs even follow them overseas. They take the same plane and watch the idols. The idols then recognize us and we're happy from that. Of course, sasaengs know that oppars hate them but they're desperate enough to get themselves known to the oppars.
